BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — West Boca Raton High School was evacuated Monday afternoon after a propane tank was found to have possibly ruptured underground, next to one of the school buildings. The propane tank is underground. No injuries were reported.
The evacuation, coming near the end of the school day, forced students and faculty into the parking lot, according to those reaching out to BocaNewsNow.com. It was not immediately clear what caused the potential propane tank rupture. Amerigas was called to the scene.
It was not immediately believed that the rupture was intentional or criminal, although the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Palm Beach County School Police will investigate.
