Watch The Video From Palm Beach International Airport, Below. It’s Our Boca Rudeton Winner For Friday.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Look no further than the Escape lounge at Palm Beach International Airport for our Friday “Boca Rudeton” winner. In a shocking turn of events, the man is waiting for a flight to New York. The scene: an otherwise quiet lounge. Despite the silence, the man insisted on having a speakerphone conversation about his toilets and a sump pump. It’s riveting toilet talk, and in a public place, it’s a public conversation. You can watch and listen to him, below.
What you can’t see is the reaction of everyone else in the quiet lounge. The man is ignoring stares and looks. Quiet comments among traveling partners asking when the man will shut up. He didn’t for nearly half an hour.
The Escape lounge is one of the smaller airport lounges in South Florida. It’s an American Express partner. You need to have a Platinum card to enter since it’s on the American Airlines side of PBI. Some Amex partner lounges permit a Delta or other branded Amex card to enter but not this lounge. Apparently, manners also don’t play into admission.
Man talking about his toilets in the Palm Beach International Airport Escape Lounge, you are our Boca Rudeton winner of the day! While we don’t give prizes, we would give you a first class ticket to Mannerland — the place where you can ride the rides and look at the exhibits all about how one behaves in civilized society. The fact that everyone around you is wearing noise-cancelling earbuds — and trying to figure out if they’re working or not — should send you a message.
We remind our readers: there’s no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! And for the love of all things, please buy yourself some AirPods or cheap knockoffs. Perhaps you could use your Amex platinum card. Boca Rudeton™ is a trademark of Metro Desk Media, LLC. We have become an ill-mannered society. Cell phones and social media have destroyed us. This man is old enough to know better, but he obviously sees himself as entitled and privileged. He doesn’t care about privacy, respect, or manners. I used to ask people to lower their voices or their phones when speaking loudly or on speaker, but I don’t do that anymore for fear of being attacked, shot, or both. This “oh so important” man needs a 6-week session on manners, etiquette, and how to behave in public. This man is a classless tool and needs to be flushed.

When I see people speaking loudly on their phone using speakerphone, I walk near them and start talking to the phone with them. They normally look at me crazy and I say “I thought this was for everyone to hear and contribute”. They get the idea. I actually have done this, but not all of the time as you don’t know how people will react.
What I mostly do is ask them to take it off speakerphone. I look at it this way, if they are going to be so rude and inconsiderate, then I have no problem asking them to take it off of speakerphone.
The other thing I’ve done is pretend I’m speaking on my phone (holding it up to my ear) and saying “I can’t hear you, there’s some man/woman using speakerphone so it’s difficult to hear you”.
Either way works and they get the picture.
