DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A shooting in central Delray Beach on Sunday left one man critically injured.

Sources tell BocaNewsNow.com that the man, in his early 20s, apparently shot himself in the head around 2:15 p.m. It happened in the apartment complex in the 4900 block of North Citation Drive in Delray Beach. That’s just east of South Military Trail and south of Linton Blvd.

Witnesses apparently saw the man shoot himself, then called 911 for help. Delray Beach rescuers rushed to the scene. We are told they heroically tried to resuscitate the man who was transported by ground to Delray Medical Center. His condition was unclear early Monday morning.

The apartment complex scene of the shooting is known as the “Citation Club Apartments.”
