UPDATE: Boca Raton Police report as of 7:15 p.m. that the intersection Clint Moore and Military Trail is again open.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two people were injured following a multi-car crash on State Road 441 in West Boca Raton late Thursday afternoon. The crash occurred in the area of a Chevron station near the Sandalfoot Plaza.

According to sources related to the rescue, multiple callers reported an overturned vehicle with multiple injuries just before 5 p.m. Rescuers determined six people were involved in the crash, but only two were injured. Among them: a 13-year-old girl who was seat-belted at the time of the crash. The girl’s mother was also injured. Neither, apparently critically.

In a separate incident earlier that continues as of 5:30 p.m., a gas leak in the area of 6950 North Military Trail led to road closures in Boca Raton and Delray Beach. The address is at the intersection of Military Trail and Clint Moore Road. Road closures are still causing huge delays as of 5:30 p.m.

Fire Rescue from the City of Boca Raton and Palm Beach County are all on the scene. While it’s unclear exactly what happened, there is construction in the area.
