UPDATE: 6:48 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023: We are still awaiting an update which suggests there is information that police do not want revealed. We have learned that while police and fire rescue officials used the BurgerFI address as the official location, the shooting apparently took place in the parking lot behind the restaurant. It is unclear if the victim ended up in the restaurant. We also note there has been no arrest processed as of 6:30 p.m. It seems highly unlikely that this was a self-inflicted gun incident, as it would be very difficult to shoot yourself in the back and in the arm.

UPDATE at 8:30 p.m. — Sources familiar with the investigation tell BocaNewsNow.com that the victim is identified as a woman in her mid-40s. She was shot in the back and in the arm. She was transported to Delray Medical Center.
