UPDATE: 9:06 a.m. — Boynton Beach Police just shared this with BocaNewsNow.com: The Boynton Beach Police Department is currently investigating an incident that occurred this morning at around 6:30 AM, involving the theft of a vehicle from the Mobil gas station located at 850 W. Gateway Blvd. At the time of the theft a two-year-old child was present in the rear seat of the vehicle. The suspect in question arrived at the gas station in a white SUV, accompanied by a second individual. The suspect proceeded to enter the victim’s vehicle and drive away, heading onto Interstate 95. Subsequently, the suspect stopped the vehicle at the Residence Inn Hotel in Boca Raton, where he left the child and hastily departed the scene. The stolen vehicle was later recovered near the Boca Raton Mall, on Butts Road.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — What is being described as a major police situation is unfolding in the area of Glades Road and Butts Road in the City of Boca Raton. That’s just west of I-95 and just east of Town Center Mall.

It was not immediately clear what was happening or why police issued the advisory. Traffic is reportedly at a standstill in the area. Police are advising motorists to find other options.
