BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The adult son of former Palm Beach County School Board Chairman Frank Barbieri, Jr., is back in the Palm Beach County Jail — allegedly after twice violating terms of his probation.
Stephen James Barbieri was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday. He remains behind bars early Friday morning. Court documents suggest that he neglected to follow the terms of probation set after an arrest in 2022 where he allegedly destroyed a hotel room. We reported on that incident here. He was also charged with domestic battery in a separate incident.
While the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts continues to update information, records indicate that Barbieri did not pay fines that were due. It also appears that he did not meet with a probation officer as required. We will update once the latest data is entered into their system. Stephen Barbieri lists the 22800 block of Warwick Wood Court in Boca Raton as his home address.
Barbieri, 51, is the son of Frank Barbieri, Jr., who served multiple terms as the chairman of the Palm Beach County School District. He remains a member of the school board.
It seems very biased and obviously malicious to me to refer to the father in this situation. He is an adult, independent and responsible for his actions. Why mention the father? I see no reason to subpoena the parents of criminals, unless they are directly involved in the crime.
So remind me again when the MSM treats a family member of a politician of one political party to the same standard, as when they try to call a Republican politician a a criminal because a family member gets caught jaywalking or running a red light.
