BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A lawsuit just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court claims that the City of Boca Raton is responsible for a crash that occurred outside the city limits. The crash, on March 9th, 2023, allegedly left a woman critically injured.
According to the suit, Plaintiff Rebecca Riggenbach was driving her 2017 Hyundai Sonata westbound on Atlantic Avenue when Aaron Aderly, driving a freight truck owned by the City of Boca Raton, failed to correctly merge, causing a crash into Riggenbach’s car. Another driver, Eddie Brown — also driving a City of Boca Raton freight truck — crashed into Riggenbach’s car as well. Attorneys for Riggenbach claim that the City of Boca Raton drivers were inattentive and the causes of the crash.
The suit claims Riggenbach was seriously injured, and continues to deal with those injuries to this date. The suit seeks in excess of $200,000 which includes $100,000 for present and future medical expenses, and $100,000 for general damages.
The suit did not state where the crash specifcially ocurred on Atlantic Avenue. Riggenbach is represented by Attorney Jonathan Rotstein of Daytona Beach.
