DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that another car was stolen from the gated community of Seven Bridges on Lyons Road in west Delray Beach. It is the second car theft in just days and what we believe to be at least the 20th over just a few years.

Like many of the other thefts, police say the key fob was left in the car.

BocaNewsNow.com obtained the police report: “On wednesday december 20, 2023 at approximately 0830hrs, i responded to the seven bridges gated community, specially 9831 vitrail ln delray beach, fl 33446 in reference to a stolen vehicle delayed overnight.

Upon arrival, i met with the victim (heather griner) who stated she parked her vehicle at the aforementioned location overnight and left her suv at her friends home. The key fob was left inside the 2022 bmw x3 bearing fl tag 08d- bgr in the event the friend needed to move the vehicle.

At approximately 0049hrs on the morning of dec 20th, the vehicle was taken according to the bmw tracking app on the victims cell phone. The last known location showed the vehicle heading west bound on boynton beach blvd from military trail. Contact was made with bmw customer service and they stated the vehicle was unable to be tracked as the system was either not on or not receiving signal.

H. Griner was provided a vehicle theft affidavit to which she signed and stated she would prosecute.

The vehicle was placed into teletype reference as stolen with the victim(heather griner) being the registered owner.

Contact was made with district 6 road deputies and a bolo(be on the look out) Was made to the last known location of the vehicle with the vehicle not being Located. The location in which the vehicle was taken from did have cameras in Place; however, they were not recording at the time of the incident. Contact was made with the front gate security in reference to possible camera’s but they advised they did not have access to the system.”

Seven Bridges does not have a “traffic enforcement agreement” in place with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office. In place with several communities across Palm Beach County, a traffic enforcement agreement permits deputies to issue tickets in a gated community and increases a police presence. Seven Bridges has resisted seriously pursuing an agreement for years, with some homeowners fearing it would lead to restrictions on unlicensed children driving golf carts on streets, and homeowners speeding through stop signs in the community.

    1. Foolish or low IQ Heather Griner, the BMW’s owner, should have- She causes the rest of us responsible auto owners to pay HIGHER AUTO INSURANCE RATES because of her poor choices
