Woman Parks Mercedes On Boca Raton Sidewalk

It’s Boca Rudeton For Saturday. It’s Also A Self-Absorbed Driver In A Mercedes.

Cars and sidewalks aren’t supposed to mix. Unless you want to win the Boca Rudeton award, which this driver on Palmetto Park Road did for Saturday.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman parked her Mercedes with Florida license plate Z18EKW right on a Boca Raton sidewalk Friday, as shocked people on the sidewalk tried to figure out what she as doing and why she was doing it.

But you, smart BocaNewsNow.com reader, know what she was doing. Yes, the entitled, self-absorbed woman — clearly with no regard for anyone but herself — parked her car on the sidewalk so she could get her take-out food at Tin Muffin at 364 East Palmetto Park Road on Friday. You could likely also guess that this very important woman is our latest Boca Rudeton winner.

Even in Boca Raton, and even if you drive a Mercedes, it’s illegal to park on a sidewalk. It doesn’t matter if you’re picking up food or dropping off the body of your Great Aunt Edith to be cremated. Driving on a sidewalk and parking on a sidewalk, regardless of your vehicle, are both frowned upon in most South Florida municipalities.

Lady driving the red Mercedes with Florida plate Z18EKW: you are our Boca Rudeton winner for Saturday! As we note, we don’t really give out prizes, but if we did, it would be a pre-paid gift card to Uber or Lyft so everyone else in Boca Raton could be a little safer without you driving in places where you’re not supposed to be driving. Just shoot us a note so we know where to send the non-existent award.

We remind our readers: there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! Send your Boca Rudeton™ submissions to us using the menu items above. Share your thoughts on this great driver, below. Boca Rudeton is a trademark of MetroDesk Media, LLC. Women driving on sidewalks so they can pick-up takeout food is a trademark of South Palm Beach County.

  1. This country will become uninhabitable as long as we tolerate and ignore those who do not comply with traffic rules. I am very sad to see this situation. There should be zero tolerance for traffic crimes.

  2. In just one day (Saturday evening in Delray Beach), I saw two cars parked in reverse on the opposite side of a street. Eight to ten years ago, it was difficult to see a vehicle exceeding speed limits; we can hardly see a vehicle driving below the limits anymore. Why can’t the police stop this?
