BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Woods Country Club resident is facing multiple charges after his arrest Friday by the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department.

Max Berk, according to jail records and citations obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, is charged with multiple DUI violations. He was arrested around 2 a.m. on Friday and released on $3,000 bond later in the day.

While the arrest report continues to be processed, we have learned that Berk is charged with “DUI — .15 or higher or with person under 18 in vehicle,” “DUI damage to property,” and “DUI, breath alcohol .08 or more.” A citation indicates Berk’s blood or breath alcohol was logged as .203. The legal limit in Florida is .08. We note that while the Florida Statute lists “person under 18” as a cause for an enhanced charge, there is no indication that a minor was in the vehicle. The charge can also be used when the breath alcohol level is above .15.

Berk, who lives in the 10500 block of Boca Woods Lane, was stopped in the 600 block of Vision Terrace in Palm Beach Gardens. It was not immediately clear what police saw on Vision Terrace that led to the traffic stop, and ultimately Berk’s arrest.
