BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton Fire Rescue responded to a car crash at Fifth Avenue Shops (2000 North Federal Highway) to learn that ten cars were involved. It was not immediately clear how many people — if any people — were injured. Medics did respond to the scene.
Boca Raton Police tell us that an 87-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and initiated a chain reaction crash. Most cars were empty and parked.
Records obtained by BocaNewsNow.com indicate the first 911 call was received around 9:25 a.m. and resulted in a not insignificant response.
The scene has apparently been cleared as of 1 p.m. on Thursday. No word on a citation.
