DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach woman threw chicken at a man, stabbed him with a pair of scissors, and ended up in the Palm Beach County Jail. Michelle Butler is now facing a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon — which we assume is the pair of scissors and not the chicken.

The Delray Beach Police Department filed a report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com.

“The victim stated the offender was throwing raw chicken at him. The victim was telling the offender to stop and began throwing the raw chicken back on the floor. The victim additionally stated that an argument ensued between the two of then, when the offender lunged toward him with scissors, cutting into the shin of his right leg. The victim told me as he was losing a significant amount of blood, and the offender slipped and fell two times, at one point hitting her head on the edge of the living room table.

The offender began to lunge toward him again, attempting to slap him, when he went outside his home and dialed 911. The victim stated the scissors were possibly small and red of green in color. The victim captured a video of the incident which shows the offender stumbling, yelling profanities, and demanding him to clean up his blood. Based on the facts stated above there is probable cause to charge Michelle Butler (DOB: 09/05/1954) with Aggravated Battery (Domestic), pursuant to F. S. S. 784.045(1Aa.)”

Butler was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released on $10,000 bond. A court date is pending.
