The crash occurred just before 7 p.m. Saturday. Initial reports from sources connected to the rescue operation indicate at least one person is entrapped in a vehicle.

BocaNewsNow.com has learned that TraumaHawk was placed on standby to respond to the scene but was canceled around 7:05 p.m. Whether the cancellation is due to a lack of need of trauma transport by air, or a deceased individual, is unclear.

The tracks in that area are used by Brightline trains, although it was not immediately clear if the train in question was Brightline or another service. The location is just south of the Boca Raton Brightline station.
