Jason Hersh of Sage Dental Files Suit Against Alleged Poster Of Negative Reviews, Yet Hides Reviews From Court Filing.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton Dentist Jason Hersh, part of the national Sage Dental chain, is suing a man who he claims is posting inaccurate reviews about him and his practice. The complaint, just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, suggests that the negative reviews are impacting his relationship with Sage Dental.
The lawsuit doesn’t specifically state what Dr. Hersh’s relationship is with the defendant, William Sands. You can read the complete lawsuit, below. We note that Hersh’s attorney has taken the unique step of sealing the reviews in question — effectively blocking the public from knowing specifically what Dr. Hersh is disputing. There are several negative reviews of Hersh online. Whether the reviews on Vitals and Healthgrades are the reviews in question remain unclear.
From the suit obtained by BocaNewsNow.com: “Mr. Sands knew of Dr. Hersh’s significant ongoing business relationship with Sage Dental, pursuant to which Dr. Hersh has an advantageous business relationship, a contractual relationship and contractual rights, which relate to providing medical and surgical services. Mr. Sands engaged in repeated, systematic, and not isolated, efforts to tortiously interfere with Dr. Hersh’s contract with and advantageous business relationship with Sage Dental by negligently issuing and circulating false and defamatory communications and social media postings without reasonable care as to whether their content was actually true or false.
Mr. Sands repeatedly engaged in negligent behavior by publishing false and defamatory statements about Dr. Hersh without reasonable care as to whether the statements were actually true or false, and which were designed to cast Dr. Hersh in a negative light, and to defame and damage him by falsely asserting patently false and easily disproven claims relating to Dr. Hersh.
For example, Mr. Sands has made, threatened to make and has propagated and disseminated falsehoods and defamatory statements relating, referring or pertaining to Dr. Hersh, including but not limited to the following, intended to portray Dr. Hersh in a negative light.”
The Florida Department of Health reports that Dr. Hersh’s license is clear and that he has never had a complaint or disciplinary action in the State of Florida. Read the complete complaint, here.
