DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Florida Highway Patrol is still not answering questions about a high-impact crash on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, more than 24 hours after troopers were apparently involved in an investigation that led a suspect to flee. Then slam into another car and then a pole.
Witnesses tell BocaNewsNow.com that it appears there was an investigation underway in the area of George Bush Blvd. when a suspect fled Monday night — slamming a stolen car into at least one other car in the 200 block of East Atlantic Avenue.

Four people were injured and required ambulance transport to area hospitals. At least one of the victims was transported as a “trauma alert.”
Delray Beach Police — the jurisdiction normally handling incidents in the area of East Atlantic Avenue and nearby streets — referred all questions to Florida Highway Patrol. The agency did not respond to requests for information.
