BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An overturned truck on the Florida Turnpike in the area of Atlantic Avenue is slowing traffic with backups reaching to near Boca Raton.
Injuries are unclear but as of 6:30 a.m., debris was on the roadway as emergency workers are working to right the vehicle. The Florida Turnpike is NOT closed, but delays are increasing. At least two southbound lanes are affected. Traffic is moving through in the remaining lanes — but very slowly.
Guidance: Take U.S. 441 south past Atlantic, then rejoin the Florida Turnpike south of the scene.
