Vehicle Floated On Water Surface Before Sinking. Victim Unable To Get Out.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A 72-year-old Boca Raton woman apparently lost control of her Infiniti QX50, drove through bushes into a lake, and later died. The incident occurred on January 26th. The victim died on Saturday, February 4th.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that Christine Solebello-Diedrich was in the parking lot of her residence in the 21500 block of Cypress Hammock Drive when “for an unknown reason, she began to drive forward, through the bushes that were directly in front (of her car) and continued to drive straight into the lake.”
The Infiniti, according to police, “floated on the surface for a short period before sinking. For an unknown reason, Christine Solebello-Diedrich was unable to exit the Infiniti.”
Police say Solebello-Diedrich was ultimately “extracted from the vehicle” by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and “resuscitation efforts began. Solebello-Diedrich was transported to Boca Raton Regional Medical Center for continuing treatment. She was pronounced dead at Trustrbridge Hospice on February 3rd at 6:40 in the morning.
