Unclear Why 32-Year-Old Calls Senior Living Community Home.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Brian Kummer doesn’t look like the traditional Century Village Boca Raton resident, a community designed for senior citizens. It’s unclear how — or why — the 32-year-old is calling the community home. But Delray Beach police say this is clear: he violated Florida drug laws.
Kummer was arrested by Delray Beach Police early Monday morning and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
While the arrest report continues to be processed, jail records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com show that Kummer is charged with multiple drug violations, including: “trafficking more than 4 grams but less than 30 kilograms of a controlled substance;” “cocaine possession with intent to sell, manufacture, deliver,” “marijuana possession — possess over 20 grams;” “possess controlled substance without a prescription,” and “drug equipment — possess and or use.”
Kummer, who lists Hythe B as his residential address, is now being held in jail on $11,000 bond for some of the charges while bond has not been set for others.
It was not immediately clear where he was arrested or what led police to Kummer. Century Village Boca Raton is in the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction, so it appears Kummer was taken into custody while he was off-property and in the jurisdiction of the City of Delray Beach Police Department.
