BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A major traffic incident is unfolding on the southbound Florida Turnpike in the area of the Homestead extension where an overturned truck is on fire as of 8:30 a.m. Multiple cars are involved and Air Rescue is on the ground, preparing to transport victims.

Traffic is at a standstill southbound on the Florida Turnpike and southbound on I-75 as it approaches that area. While there is no direct impact in Palm Beach County, delays are building and it’s likely that anyone heading southbound into Broward County will experience delays as they near the scene.
