Mexican National Arrested In Boca Raton, Charged With Grand Theft

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man identified as a Mexican national is in the Palm Beach County Jail Wednesday, charged with grand theft. The arrest was made by the Boca Raton Police Department.

While the arrest report continues to be processed Wednesday, BocaNewsNow.com has learned that Ivan Mauricio Almazan was taken into custody just before midnight Tuesday. He is officially charged with “Larceny — Grand Theft (more than) $750 (but) less than $5,000.”

Almazan provided an address of 1 C Moctezuma, Tepotzotlan, Mexico as his home address. That is Northwest of Mexico City.

It was not immediately clear what Almazan was accused of stealing, how police determined he was responsible, or where the arrest took place. We’ll update as soon as that information is released. Almazan is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond.
