Firefighters, Rescuers Rush To Lyons Road and Boca Lago.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — At least one person was injured and hospitalized following a crash at Lyons Road and Boca Lago Road a little before noon on Friday.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue rushed to the scene over the overturned vehicle. Sources familiar with the rescue operation said one elderly driver was transported to West Boca Medical Center. Her condition was unclear. It was also unclear if other vehicles were involved. Those near the scene indicated it was a one vehicle crash.
It was not immediately clear what led to the car overturning. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue professionals were able to promptly extricate the victim.
An investigation is underway. Check back for updates later on Friday.
I’ve been a New York driver for 48 years. I thought New Yorkers were crazy and inattentive drivers. Wow I’m here in Deerfield Beach Fl. For 10 years and Floridian drivers make New York drivers look like professionals. Never in my life have I experienced driving amongst people on cell phones, older people, not able to see over the dashboard driving or hearing or seeing. Speeding cutting people off. It’s become a horror to drive here in Florida. An accident on every corner.
I am from Long Island & here in Boca since 2005.( I have driven in Manhattan). What bothers me is Floridian drivers do not use signals, change lanes at the last moment , make sudden turns and when the light changes they just do not move (probably on their phone) and when they do the light is now RED!!! I wish the police would ticket the aggressive, speeding drivers.
Yes, there are lots of elderly drivers on the road and you young ones will be one of them some day so respect them please!!!
Old or not, those who drive over ten miles under the speed limit in left lanes are as bad, if not worse at causing accidents and aggressive driving.
They may have a Florida license plate, but do you know where many or most of these folks came from ?

I agree with you! The New Yorkers are the ones driving like maniacs and complaining about their fellow New Yorkers lol. Most of them are always driving 65mph on Lyons road. Always in a hurry with nowhere to go, obnoxiously honking their horn as if they own the road. If the light turns red, we wait and look both ways to make sure a speeding careless a-hole doesn’t run the light and kill us.
