Police in Delray Beach are investigating a second fatal shooting in just days.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Another fatal shooting is under investigation in the City of Delray Beach. Delray Beach police transmitted this advisory to BocaNewsNow.com:

On Friday, March 29, 2024, at 6:49 p.m., Delray Beach police responded to a shooting at the Community Market located at 139 NW 5th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.


The victim has been identified as Nicholas Laurent, 25, of Delray Beach. He was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries on Sunday. Investigators learned there was an altercation inside the store involving a small group of people prior to the gunfire.

The Delray Beach Police Department is actively investigating this crime. Anyone with information about this shooting is urged to contact Detective John Caceres at 561-243-7871.
