UPDATE AT 1:58: FDOT is reporting that the road is open but “Heavy Congestion” is leading to “major” traffic problems. We note that due to a publishing issue, an original headline indicated I-95. This is the Florida Turnpike.
UPDATE AT 1:04 p.m. — The good news from first arriving rescuers is that while three vehicles are involved, the injuries are minor as is the damage. The bad news is that it may take quite some time to remove the vehicles from the scene.
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A major crash has closed all lanes northbound on the Florida Turnpike in the area of Lake Worth Road as of 12:45 p.m. Saturday.
Traffic is backing up for miles, well into Boynton Beach and beyond. It was not immediately clear how many cars are involved or how many people are injured. Firefighters are having a challenging time arriving on the scene due to the extreme traffic blocking access.
The incident was first reported around 12:40 p.m.
Traffic cameras in the area show that traffic is at an absolute standstill. Southbound lanes are moving. We will update as soon as we receive more information but for now, avoid all northbound travel on the Florida Turnpike starting in the area of Atlantic Avenue.

The headline says i95.
Which is it?
It appears a draft headline was published it was updated to reflect the turnpike. Our apologies.
