BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boynton Beach man will spend more than two years in prison for the death of a Lake Worth pedestrian. Christiano Philip Wyndham Castronova was sentenced to 789 days in prison, followed by 11 years probation and one year of house arrest.
The 27-year-old whose home address is listed as 9744 Majestic Way in Boynton Beach, hit Lesly Ulysee in the area of South Jog Road and Lantana Road on July 15, 2022. Castronova is accused of leaving the scene and not rendering aid. The victim was trying to cross the street when Castronova hit him, briefly stopped, then kept going. The victim was NOT crossing in a crosswalk.
“As Castronova approached the intersection of Lantana Road,” wrote police, “while traveling within the center lane, Ulysses darted into the northbound lanes, violating Castronova’s right of way, causing the subsequent collision. Castronova collided with Ulysses before driving past the victim, turning left, and stopping for a brief time, then completing a U-Turn and traveling southbound on South Jog Road.”
Castronova was first arrested on July 22nd, 2022.

Not bad for killing someone with a car. Our justice system is a joke.
If he would’ve stopped and rendered aid then he would have got no time since the Pedestrian darted in the middle of the center lane and violated his right of way. So if you would have stopped and just rendered it, he would have gotten no time.
Unless, he was drunk or something
