BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach could experience a high near 100 degrees on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Palm Beach County, hoping to keep residents and visitors cool, just released a list of places to stay cool over the next several days. Some are obvious — like parks and pools. But PBC also suggests libraries are great places to beat the heat.
Our first graphic, below, shows parks, pools, and splash pads for outdoor activity. It would appear the “park” thinking is that trees can keep you cool. But we note the public pools and splash pads are often among the finest of all public facilities in the United States.

The second list shows library locations across Palm Beach County. While PBC did not include an address list for the libraries, you can access a list right here. Note that hours may vary across the county, and not all libraries in PBC have full-fledged child areas if you’re looking to entertain someone young. But Palm Beach County libraries do tend to be well stocked, well run, and a great way to get out of the heat.

The BocaNewsNow.com weather center is calling for a high in the mid-90s on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We are, at least theoretically, days away from the traditional start of the rainy season. Thunderstorms are possible on Saturday. The heat index over the next several days will approach 100 degrees.
