DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Kings Point Delray Beach, the senior living community, is on course to break its 2023 arrest record. By our count, more residents of Kings Point end up in jail than from any other senior living community in South Palm Beach County.
The latest arrest: Shephelah Ayala. The 36-year-old is charged with battery. It was not immediately clear early Friday where she was taken into custody or why police charged her. It was also unclear why Ayala is living in a senior living community.

The Palm Beach County Jail tells BocaNewsNow.com that Ayala was taken into custody early Thursday and booked into lockup at 6:45 a.m. She remained behind bars as of 6 a.m. Friday. Bond was not set for Ayala. Battery charge suspects are often released on their own recognizance.
Ayala is the 11th Kings Point arrest of 2024 and the 31st arrest since the start of 2023.
Among the other alleged crimes committed by Kings Point Delray Beach residents: drug dealing, drunk driving, sex offenses, battery, dog shooting, a woman who resisted arrest, and more. Read our Kings Point Delray Beach coverage.

Kings point has 12000 residents. The amount of arrests is miniscule for that large a population.
Another underage person living in a 55+ community.
Kings point is not a senior community. It’s an active 55 + Community. Senior community is defined as age 65 and up.
Often than not a younger mates live in as attendants. Only the main resident owner need be of age 55+ to live in the community. The association may or may not have approved the criminally charged.
Word on the grapevine is they raised the fees to keep out a lot of the ruff Raff that’s been seeping in. This only puts the squeeze on the most vulnerable who invested in that low end resort style cubbyhole. The crooks get them coming snd going from all angles. Sad to see that.
When will you leave our community alone? Kings Point is a great place to live. Please leave us alone. I’m sure there are more important things to write about. Try writing something positive!
