BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton resident Paul Morris remains in the Palm Beach County Jail Sunday morning on $25,000 bond following his arrest early Saturday by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Morris is being held on the rarely used charge of “intimidation — written (or) electronic threat of mass shooting (under the) terrorism act.”

It was not immediately clear what led police to arrest Morris or the nature of the alleged threat. The arrest report continued to be processed early Sunday by the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts. Morris, 26, lives in the 9600 block of Vinyeard Court in Boca Raton which is south of Palmetto Park Road and just west of Lyons Road.

Public records indicate this is Morris’ first criminal interaction with law enforcement in Palm Beach County. There is no record of PBSO seeking a mental health hold or weapons seizure immediately following his arrest. Check back for updates on BocaNewsNow.com.
