BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County School District is clarifying its program providing free breakfast and lunch for students under the National School Lunch and Breakfast program for the 2024-2025 school year. Some parents were apparently led to believe that several schools would stop providing free meals. The school district says that is not the case.
Under the national program, most schools in Palm Beach County, at all grade levels, will be providing free lunch and breakfast services to all students. The meals are provided at no cost regardless of your income or housing situation. An income-based free meal program has been in effect for decades, but the school district moved to a ‘free for all’ program during COVID. That program continues to be funded, in part, by the federal government.
We are publishing the official list of all schools offering free food here. It is a lengthy list and may take a few moments to download, depending on your internet connection. We note the schools are not listed in any discernible order. You’ll need to scan the list for schools that are relevant to you.
