BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton consignment store Posh Plum at 9851 Glades Road owes money — a lot of money — to the company now running Shadowwood shopping center. Shadowwood Square Limited is suing Posh Plum for $377,634.
At issue: alleged rent shortfalls and issues with escrow payments. Shadowwood claims it tried to help Posh Plum through difficult times, but the help needs to end. If Posh Plum doesn’t come up with the money owed, Shadowwood wants to do whatever it needs to do to get Posh Plum out of its shopping center, and potentially liquidate its other locations — including the Posh Plum of Sarasota.
BocaNewsNow.com is publishing the complete lawsuit which you can read here. It includes the lease agreement which provides insight into what it costs to rent space in the Shaddowood Shopping Center and the history of what Posh Plum is accused of doing — and not doing.
Attorneys for Posh Plum are not listed at this point of the litigation. The company has not responded to the suit. Shadowwood is represented by the law firm of Tobin Reyes in Boca Raton.
