Janice Woods, Marcia Pochette Killed In Crash. Driver Fled Scene. Apprehended.

On Tuesday, July 30th, at approximately 8:10 PM, the Boynton Beach Police Department responded to a serious traffic crash at the intersection of Meadows Boulevard and North Congress Avenue. A silver Kia Stinger, driven by 23-year-old Neoni Copeland of Boynton Beach, was traveling south on North Congress Avenue at a high rate of speed when it collided with a blue Toyota Corolla.

The Corolla attempted to make a left turn to head west onto Meadows Boulevard at the time of the impact. Following the crash, Copeland fled the scene on foot but was apprehended nearby. The driver of the Toyota Corolla, 27-year-old Janice Woods, and her passenger, 57-year-old Marcia Pochette, sustained fatal injuries.
Information was received that Copeland had fled from the West Palm Beach Police Department a short time before the crash. Copeland has been charged with resisting arrest and two counts of leaving the scene of a crash causing fatality. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
