BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man was shot and killed in Pompano Beach early Monday morning and the Broward Sheriff’s Office Tuesday afternoon is asking anyone with information to reach out — even anonymously. A 44-year-old man is dead after being shot in Pompano Beach, and detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding his murder.
At approximately 4:44 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to a shooting call near the 1500 block of Northeast 28th Street. On scene, emergency crews located the victim, Keith Bryan Poole, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the victim to Broward Health North, where he was later pronounced deceased.
According to witnesses, Poole was standing outside of his residence when a subject known to him began shooting. Detectives say the shooter fled the scene following the incident. BSO Crime Scene and Homicide Unit detectives responded and are currently investigating the fatal shooting.
