BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Drama in a penthouse on Ocean Boulevard in Boca Raton after a man allegedly shows his girlfriend photos of other women in an effort to make her jealous, then pushes her — and takes her phone — while she’s FaceTiming with friends to complain about her boyfriend.
The Boca Raton Police Department arrested Kent Jordan who lives with the woman in a penthouse at 250 South Ocean Boulevard on Saturday. He’s charged with robbery and battery. The police report, obtained by BocaNewsNow.com explains what allegedly took place:

On 09/13/2024 at approximately 2109 hours, I responded to 250 S. Ocean Blvd in reference to a domestic disturbance. Prior to arrival, the victim, (redacted), advised dispatch that her boyfriend, Kent Jordan, was physical with her and took her phone. Both Kent and (the alleged victim) have been dating for over 1 year and live at the above residence. (The alleged victim) stated the following: When she got to the above stated residence, Kent began showing her pictures of other girls to make her jealous. An argument ensued and (the alleged victim) got on a Facetime call with her friends and started talking negatively about him. Kent got upset with her and while on the facetime call, he pushed her into a lamp and attempted to drag her by her legs out of the residence.
Video of the Facetime was obtained and initiates with the camera facing upwards with( the alleged victim) on the ground. While she was on the ground, you can hear (the alleged victim) saying “Ow you’re hitting me, stop, Kent stop”. It also shows Kent attempting to grab her legs and drag her. Kent is seen grabbing the cell phone that (the alleged victim) was in possession of and the video ends, but audio continues. Both continue to verbally argue and the audio ends. Kent left the residence, went downstairs and began walking away but she followed behind to try and get her phone back. Kent said he did not have the phone (and the alleged victim) went back into the lobby and subsequently contacted law enforcement. Officers canvased the area and located (the alleged victim’s) phone on the side of the road south of their residence. Video of the Facetime call was obtained and placed into BRPD Property/Evidence by Officer Bagwell.
Kent provided a different recollection of the incident and denied any of the above allegations. He explained at no point was the altercation physical nor did he ever take (the alleged victim’s) phone or any of her property away from her.
Based on my investigation and the evidence obtained or showed to me, Kent was arrested for F. S. S 812.131(2b) Robbery by sudden snatching as he took (the alleged victim) phone from her person and temporarily deprived her of said property and F. S.$ 784.03 (1A1) Donestic Battery Simple as he was determined to be the primary aggressor by grabbing (the alleged victim)legs in an attempt to drag her out of the residence.”
Kent Jordan was booked into jail and released several hours later on his own recognizance. A court date is pending.
