DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A fire in Delray Beach Friday night left a family homeless as an investigation into the cause of the blaze is now under way, according to information provided to BocaNewsNow.com.

Delray Beach Fire Rescue says the fire broke out in the home in the 1000 block of SW 7th Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Friday. Delray Beach fire professionals rushed to the scene and found heavy fire to the back of the residence. The fire rapidly spread to the front of the home, as well.

A mother and two children were displaced as a result of the fire but fortunately, there were no injuries. Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours.

An investigation is now underway into the cause of the fire.
