BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman who lives just a short distance by foot from Temple Beth El’s West Boca Raton campus is facing six serious charges — including multiple weapons offenses — following her arrest by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Rebecca Last was booked into jail early Monday morning.
According to jail information obtained by BocaNewsNow.com in advance of her arrest report being processed by the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts, Last was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and charged with six offenses. They are: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill; firing a weapon — recreating discharge of a firearm in public or residential property; unsafe storage of a firearm; multiple counts of obstructing justice including “tamping with evidence” and providing false information, and neglecting a child without great bodily harm.
It is unclear, based on the charges, whether police allege that Last actually fired the weapon or pretended to fire the weapon. We expect clarity on this once we obtained the arrest report.

This is Rebecca Last’s first felony arrest in Palm Beach County, according to public records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com. She lives in the 9300 block of Gettysburg Road. Check back for more specifics of the arrest once the probable cause affidavit is processed. She is being held without bond. We expect her first appearance to be held on Tuesday.
