BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s been a busy 14 hours for the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue professionals at Station 58. That’s the firehouse on Glades Road not far from West Boca High School. We told you already about the car that drove into a canal last night right in that area. Now we’ve learned of a major crash — right outside the fire house — midday Friday.

Here’s what Palm Beach County Fire Rescue officials started with BocaNewsNow.com:

“At 12:23, PBCFR Firefighters at Station 58 heard a crash outside of the station.  Simultaneously, our 911 center received a call about a crash at Riverside Drive and Glades Rd.  The firefighters went outside and saw a two-vehicle crash with one vehicle overturned. Firefighters used tools to rapidly remove the person from the overturned vehicle.  Two people were transported to a local hospital for evaluation.  PBSO will be investigating the crash.”

The road has reopened as of 2 p.m. Friday. We expect to have images of the scene later Friday afternoon. If you have information to share about the incident, please call the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office at 561-688-3400. If you have photos or video of the scene that you’d like to share, our news tip line is 561-576-NEWS, or you can email news (at) bocanewsnow.com.
