BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The office of the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts is announcing closures due to Hurricane Milton. Here’s the update as of Tuesday afternoon: All Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller offices will be closed on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10 due to Hurricane Milton.

Anyone needing to pay a traffic ticket, file court documents, purchase certified copies of court or official records or make child support or alimony payments in Palm Beach County should use the Clerk’s online services while the offices are closed. Visit http://www.mypalmbeachclerk.com/services for a full list of online services at the Clerk’s office.

All appointments for passport applications, marriage licenses and wedding ceremonies are canceled. Customers can reschedule their appointment at mypalmbeachclerk.com/appointment.
Jury duty is canceled for October 9 and October 10. If you received a jury summons for those dates, do not report to the courthouse. No action is required on your part. For all other questions regarding jury duty service, please visit jury.mypalmbeachclerk.com.

Customers with court dates scheduled for October 9 or October 10 will have their court dates rescheduled. Please do not call the Clerk’s office to reschedule. The 15th Judicial Circuit will hold first appearance and juvenile shelter and detention hearings at the Palm Beach County Jail. The office will be closed Friday, October 11, as the 15th Judicial Circuit is closed in observance of Yom Kippur, and on Monday, October 14 as Palm Beach County government offices are closed for Columbus Day.
