BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you need fuel, the Florida Department of Transportation says service stations on the Florida Turnpike are well stocked. Fuel, according to the Florida Turnpike operations center, will remain available during and after the storm. Charging stations for EVs should also be available and operational.

Snacks, however, will be in short supply after 8 p.m. in some of the most frequented service plazas. Here’s what DOT is telling BocaNewsNow.com:

Food offerings and gift shops at the Port St. Lucie/Fort Pierce, Fort Drum, Canoe Creek, and Turkey Lake Service Plazas will close at 5:30 p.m. today. Convenience stores at these locations will close at 8 p.m. At the Okahumpka Service Plaza, convenience store and Dunkin’ services will remain available. The Snapper Creek, Pompano Beach, and West Palm Beach Service Plazas will remain fully operational, offering all services.
