BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Power is still out for several Palm Beach County residents following Hurricane Milton’s destruction earlier this week. Nearly half a million FPL customers statewide remain powerless Saturday morning. FPL is not the only electric provider in Florida.

In Palm Beach County, 1,150 customers are without power as of 9:30 a.m. That is down from a high of 134,160 as the storm moved through. In Martin County, 5,550 remain without power. In Indian River, 22,940 are without power early Saturday.

Counties on the west coast of Florida continue to have the most power problems. In Manatee County, 105,310 do not have power. In Sarasot County, 90,160 FPL customers do not have power. In Collier County, 33,040 are without power. In Brevard, 30,280. Indian River, 22,940 remain without electricity.

Statewide, 1,948,350 FPL customers lost power during the storm, As of Saturday morning, 1,507,340 of those customers have had power restored.
