PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man slammed into a man on an electric bike (e-bike) Saturday morning, but isn’t as of Sunday morning accused of wrongdoing. The Palm beach County Sheriff’s Office says the e-bike had no reflective gear or tail lights, and the critically injured man also wasn’t wearing anything reflective or protective at the time of the crash.

PBSO says Woodley Felix Jean Gelibert of West Palm beach was traveling westbound around 10 a.m. Saturday on Forest Hill Blvd in the inside lane without any lights or protective equipment. He was riding a 2024 KGK E-Bike.

At the time same, Francisco Moreno of Boca Raton — in an Audi Q7 — was also traveling westbound on Forest HIll Boulevard, directly behind Gelibert. Moreno, according to police, was unable to identify Gelibert or his bike until the collision occurred.

“The front left side of the Audi impacted the rear of the e-bike. As the crash ensued, Gelibert was ejected over the handlebars of the e-bike and came to final rest in the inside westbound lane of Forest Hill Blvd. The e-bike came to an uncontrolled final rest west of Gelibert.”

Woodley Gelibert was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. No charges were filed. Moreno was not injured.
