BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The threat of another hurricane hitting Florida over the next few weeks just diminished, according to the National Hurricane Center. The two systems we’ve been following on both sides of the state now seem less likely to develop. The NHC issued this advisory Thursday afternoon:

Formation chance through 48 hours…low…20 percent. Formation chance through 7 days…low…30 percent.
Western Caribbean Sea: Showers and thunderstorms over the western Caribbean Sea are associated with a broad area of low pressure.
