UPDATE: From Boca Raton Fire Rescue which graciously reached out with details Sunday morning. No one was injured. The fire started as a grease fire and was contained to the Luna Lounge. When firefighters first arrived, it was unclear specifically where the smoke originated so multiple businesses were evacuated. The fire was brought under control in two minutes.

According to preliminary information provided to BocaNewsNow.com, a fryer ignited in the restaurant’s kitchen. The fire was so intense that it extended to other parts of the multi-unit building. Much of the block has been evacuated.

We know nothing about injuries, if any, as of 9:13 p.m., less than half an hour after the first call was received by 911. We will update when we know more.
Motorists are encouraged to stay out of the area. Expect the scene to remain active for the next several hours.
