BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two suspects are in custody Friday, charged in connection to the carjacking on SW 18th Street in Boca Raton Thursday afternoon. Incredibly, one of the suspects allegedly had an ankle monitor which police say placed him in the area of the carjacking.

Boca Raton Police issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com Friday afternoon: 19-year-old Kevin McCall and 17-year-old Victor Graham have been charged with the carjacking that occurred yesterday at approximately 2:27 p.m. in a driveway along SW 18th Street as the victim was sitting inside her 2024 Mercedes AMG. The suspect approached the victim with a gun in hand and ordered her out of the vehicle. The suspect then entered the driver’s seat and fled eastbound on SW 18th Street. The victim was not injured.

Through video surveillance, it was determined the suspect fled into Broward County. Boca Raton Police detectives notified the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) and both agencies worked together to develop suspect information. Near the scene of the carjacking, the suspect was seen exiting a Honda Accord moments before the crime occurred. Boca Raton Police detectives were able to obtain the license plate number for the Honda Accord. Just before 6:00 p.m., the Honda Accord was located traveling on I-95. After an attempted traffic stop, the vehicle fled and an occupant was observed throwing a firearm out of the window. A short time later, five occupants bailed from the vehicle on foot.

All five occupants were apprehended by BSO and subsequently arrested on BSO’s charges. Kevin McCall was identified as one of the occupants, and he was wearing the same clothing described by the carjacking victim, as well as an ankle monitor. The key fob to the stolen Mercedes was found in McCall’s pocket. The tracking history was reviewed for his ankle monitor, placing McCall in the victim’s driveway at the time of the carjacking. During the investigation, Victor Graham, the driver of the Honda, was additionally connected to the carjacking when his ankle monitor’s tracking history also placed him in the immediate area of the carjacking.

The Mercedes was later recovered using the vehicle’s tracking software. Boca Raton Police detectives obtained arrest warrants for both McCall and Graham for Carjacking with a Firearm. Both subjects remain in custody. If you have information about this ongoing investigation, please contact Detective Dale Graham at (561) 620-6175.
