BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A young girl was dropped off this morning at a daycare in the greater Fort Lauderdale area. The daycare had never seen her before. The man who dropped her off fled the school. Police are asking everyone in South Florida to take a look at the images, above, and reach out immediately if the girl — or the man — looks familiar.
Here is the statement the Broward Sheriff’s Office provided to BocaNewsNow.com: “Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies are trying to locate the family or caregiver of a young girl who was dropped off at a daycare in West Park.
Deputies say they were called to Panda Little Academy located at 3900 S.W. 40th Ave. on Thursday morning regarding a young child left at the daycare. The child, who may be named Malaya, is believed to be two or three years old. Deputies say a male driving a dark-colored vehicle dropped off the child at the school.
Anyone with information on the child’s identity or the whereabouts of her family or caregiver, should call BSO’s Special Victims Unit Det. Vanessa Encina at 561-513-8557.”
