Local Democrats Like Voting By Mail. Republicans Tend To Vote In Person.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — More than half of all registered voters in Palm Beach County have already cast a ballot for next week’s presidential election, and the majority of those early voters are Democrats. The running total from the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections shows exceptional interest in the election, with 52.3 percent of those registered to vote in Palm Beach County already doing so as of 7 a.m. Friday.
The official numbers: 186,720 democrats have officially voted as of early Friday morning. That’s compared to 162,283 republicans. 106,669 people with no party affiliation have also cast a vote, Official voter turnout as of early Friday, 468,672. There are 896,037 registered voters in Palm Beach County.
The latest tabulations also show how members of various parties like to vote. When it comes to mail-in ballots, 106,630 democrats have returned a mail-in ballot (either through mail or in person), while 53,320 republicans have returned a mail-in ballot. 45,335 independent voters have also returned a mail-in ballot. The numbers flip a bit for in-person voting. 81,090 registered democrats have cast an early vote in-person, while 108,963 registered republicans have voted in person. 61,334 independent voters have voted in-person as of early Friday morning.
