It’s Boca Rudeton. And Our Tipsters Never Take The Holiday Off When It Comes To Bad Parkers and Bad People Behaving Badly With Dog…

BY: STAFF REPORT | BocaNewsNow.com
UPDATE: The woman in our Aldi photo reached out to explain why the dog was with her. While we still question why the dog was climbing on the meat in Aldi, we do respect her situation and have voluntarily removed the image. We wish her well.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s another week of people behaving poorly in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Deerfield Beach, and in areas we’ll call Boca-Adjacent. Who wins the coveted Boca Rudeton award as we start December? Read on to find out…
We start with the woman seen in the photo above — and larger right below. Her dog is climbing right into the meat cooler at Aldi on U.S. 441 in West Boca Raton. We don’t know why the dog is there — it’s illegal to bring a dog into a supermarket if it’s not a trained service animal. And it’s unlikely that a trained service animal would be climbing in the meat cooler. If you’re shopping in Aldi, you may want to skip the meat — unless you like it monogrammed with a dog paw print.
While we’re talking about Aldi, let’s head south to the Aldi at Hillsboro Boulevard and Powerline Road. While there were several empty parking spaces, our tipster points out that this Tesla driver from Canada apparently felt it necessary to take two. It’s unclear why. Maybe the car’s self-driving system didn’t work. Maybe the brain of the human driver of the car didn’t work. Whatever the reason, it’s rude to take more than you need. And this car only needed one spot.

Now we move on to the Dunkin Donuts at Yamato and U.S. 441 in West Boca Raton. If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it more than once: it’s illegal to bring animals into a facility that sells food unless that animal is trained to provide a service function. It’s clear from the photos provided by our tipster that this dog isn’t providing much of a function at all. Not when it’s looking at the donuts. And not when it’s sitting on the counter where other people place their donuts, food, and drinks purchased at the Dunkin. Not only do we call out the woman for being rude (why not leave the dog at home?), but the Dunkin’ employee who could have refused to serve the woman until the dog was outside. Now everyone who purchased food at that Dunkin near Temple Beth El’s West Boca Raton campus will wonder if they’re eating dog saliva.

So who is our Boca Rudeton winner today? We start December with the woman at Aldi. There’s just no reason for the dog to be in the store, and there’s certainly no reason for that dog to be climbing into the meat section. While readers of our feature know we don’t really give prizes, we know what we’d give this woman: a map of Boca Raton dog parks combined with the Florida Guide For Safe Eating. That way, while her dog plays in a place where it belongs, she could read up on the hazards of animals pawing through food that’s supposed to be sanitary and ready for humans.

We remind our readers that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! Send your submissions to us using the menu buttons above. Flood the health department with complaints on the stores that are allowing this. So sick of these people. Doris Market, Joseph’s, The Boy’s, Walmart and others.
The animal at DD doesn’t look like a dog. Could it be a pet rat?
While I appreciate the notices that you send to the public, why are these photos not sent to the Palm Beach County Dept of Health or the Florida Department of Health? Posting these pictures doesn’t change the people, and store owners only understand if their business is put at risk of $$$ fines and closing.
just rude you post this crap . no purpose . You are not judge and jury sir . The only good thing on your site is the traffic and criminal report . All else a bunch of nonsense.
I agree. This not journalism. Public shaming is same as public flogging. The “reporter” knows nothing about each individual situation. Perhaps the person at the door allowed them to come in for one reason or another. I find your “journalist’s snarky added comments to be rude and unnecessary. Footprints on the meat? Very obnoxious comment.
Dogs like meat even from Aldi.
You need to end this Rude column or reveal your identity which you will never do since you are a bully and coward. Shame on you for mostly exposing senior citizens.
Michelle, nothing secret here. You’re welcome to look up the company in state records, or just read the ‘about us’ part of the site. But perhaps that’s too much work for you. Like leaving your dog at home.
No it’s not bullying, it shows the entitled A-holes from NY who’ve moved down here and want to screw Florida up like they’ve already done to NY.
I don’t care what kind of mental challenge you have, your dog does not belong in a restaurant or a supermarket or anywhere where people buy food or eat.
You know, I have to vent here, so here’s a “I’m venting” warning.
OK, for all you emotional support people. YOUR PET DOG DOES NOT WANT TO GO SHOPPING WITH YOU AT THE GROCERY STORE. Also, your pet dog (or whatever) does not want to go on a flight to somewhere with you either. Your pet whatever does not want to go to work with you either. The abuse I see people inflicting on these poor animals to satisfy these people’s strange quirks is most disgusting. If you’re that mentally disabled, then stay home with your whatever (dog), and don’t inflict the very un natural act of shopping, or air travel on a poor animal. In general I see terror on the faces of most of these animals that are hauled into a grocery store, or even restaurants. This is pure selfishness and animal abuse. These poor animals suffer to satisfy your strange emotional quirk. If you want to do something that your little fluffy thing might actually want to do, try going to a dog park. Your little fluffy might actually enjoy themselves there. DON’T SUBJECT YOUR POOR DOG (or whatever) TO THE STRESS OF A GROCERY STORE, OR AIRCRAFT. Sorry, I don’t see it your way. I see it as abuse.
How about actually reporting real news…oh wait you have nothing else to do but bash dogs that behave better than most children and adults. What a loser newspaper, I hope you guys out of business.
I blame the managers and owners of all these stores that allow these people to shop with their dogs. The managers have the right to bar them from entering the store with the animal but they won’t because they fear retaliation will occur by customers who won’t shop there any longer. So who’s to blame? It’s the managers and they should get the summonses. Maybe then they will grow a backbone.
Homer10…you are 100% correct!!! The same for people who leave the dog in the yard to bark all day long. They are barking because they want to be IN the house, not in the yard. Meanwhile, terrorizing the whole neighborhood.
Completely selfish of these entitled pet owners. Not safe or fair to other shoppers. Tickets or fines for the business owners is the only way to solve this.
Oh look, more “my dog is an angel and behaves better than humans” comments… I don’t know what human climbs up refrigerated shelves and sticks their nose in meat for sale, but both offenders should be banned.
