A missing Parkland teen was found dead in Coral Springs.

CORAL SPRINGS, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A body found mid-morning Monday in Coral Springs is believed to be the body of a missing teen from Parkland. BocaNewsNow.com first learned of the find shortly after police and paramedics were dispatched, but held the information until police in Coral Springs provided context around noon on Tuesday.

According to a Coral Springs Police spokesperson, “our agency responded to the 9500 block of Westview Drive. Currently, we are investigating a death of a juvenile male that does not look suspicious. The death appears to be self-inflicted. We are not actively looking for any suspects.”

The address is in the area of the Planet Fitness in a shopping center near the intersection of University Drive and the Sawgass Expressway. The report was first received around 10 a.m. on Monday. We are awaiting an update from the Broward Sheriff’s Office regarding the missing teen — BSO is the agency that took the initial report when the young man apparently went missing.
