
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The motorbike crash we reported on exclusively Tuesday night is now a confirmed fatality. Boca Raton Police confirming to BocaNewsNow.com that Tyren White, 23, was killed when he slammed his motorbike into a car in the area of 20th street and NW 5th Avenue.
Here’s the official statement from Boca Raton PD: “The Boca Raton Police Service Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal crash which occurred at the intersection of NW 20th Street and NW 5th Avenue on December 10, 2024, just after 6:00 p.m. A Suzuki dirt bike, with no headlights, was traveling westbound on NW 20th Street with two other dirt bikes.
A 2017 Volvo S60, traveling eastbound on NW 20th Street, began making a left turn to proceed north on NW 5th Avenue. The Suzuki dirt bike struck the front bumper of the Volvo, ejecting the rider from the dirt bike. The dirt bike then redirected and collided with a 2014 Honda Civic that was stopped for the red light in the southbound lane of NW 5th Avenue.
The riders of the two other dirt bikes left the scene prior to police arrival. The rider of the Suzuki dirt bike was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to injuries. The driver of the Volvo is identified as Rogero Silveira, 35, of Fitchburg, MA. The driver of the Honda is identified as Ralph Giachetti, 57, of Delray Beach.
