BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The man killed early Sunday while riding his bicycle on Ocean Boulevard in Boca Raton is being remembered as a loving father to his young children and a devoted husband. Friends of Felipe Soares De Moraes tell BocaNewsNow.com that he was a great dad and dedicated family man.

“He was an honest, hardworking man who fought for his beautiful family,” said a friend in a message to BocaNewsNow.com. “He had a beautiful seven-month-old baby boy and a beautiful six-year-old daughter. He was devoted to his wife Uiara.”

Felipe had just turned 41 on November 25th, according to a friend, and “was living the best moment of his life. It hurts so bad to see his wife in this situation.”

Memorial plans are pending. BocaNewsNow.com will publish those plans and any fundraising requests made on behalf of the family. As we’ve reported, New Jersey resident Thomas Vayianos was arrested and charged with DUI moments after police say he struck and killed Moraes around 7 a.m. Sunday in the 1400 block of North Ocean Boulevard.
