BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — At least one person was injured early Thursday afternoon in a crash in the area of Spanish River Boulevard and Federal Highway. Pictures sent to BocaNewsNow.com show the heroic efforts made by Boca Raton Fire Rescue to remove a person trapped in a vehicle.

The Boca Raton Police Department has not released information about the crash. But witnesses and sources connected to the rescue operation say a man suffered some sort of medical issue while driving and crashed into a pole. The car was severely damaged and it is believed the man was at least briefly trapped inside.

Boca Raton Fire Rescue professionals were seen at the scene removing the man and placing him into an ambulance. It is believed he was conscious and alert while being transported to an area hospital for further treatment.

While other cars were noted in the area of the crash, it was not clear if they were involved or merely stopped after witnessing the car crash into a pole. It’s unknown if anyone else was in the vehicle that hit the pole — witnesses were unsure if any additional “victim” was treated at the scene or transported in a private vehicle.
